Jugal lays foundation stone of Gorda-Chakkad road

JAMMU, May 4: Jugal Kishore Sharma MP from Jammu Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency today visited village Tung,Gorda,Lasu and laid foundation stone for the construction of Gorda to Chakkad road under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna Scheme.
At Tung, Gorda in Nagrota Constituency he laid foundation stone for the construction of  Gorda to Chakkad road .This  road connects the village Gorda to Chakkad  stretched over 5 kms providing a great relief to the rural parts of the Constituency and connects villages of Gorda, Chakkad, Tung, Lasu and other of Nagrota constituency to Akhnoor Constituency via Maira Mandarian. The road will be constructed at an estimated cost of  Rs 3.03 crore and was the long pending demand of the villagers.
Jugal while addressing gathering at village Gorda said that the Centre as well as State Government is always ready to serve the rural area and it is the foremost duty of the Government to provide connectivity to the rural areas. Moreover he asked that the village Gorda will now be connected with the two major constituencies Raipur Domana and Akhnoor by the means of this road. He added that the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna is the major Centrally sponsored scheme and it was primarily funded  by the Central Government during current year as comparing to the previous years. He said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is the Iron man with kind hearted soul who is always ready to serve the people living in rural areas and in poverty line.
Senior BJP leader Nand Kishore  while addressing asked that the BJP has become the largest party of the world and everyone should get a chance to connect with it. The Prime Minister is taking major steps and launching various schemes for the benefit of poor and needs of his country.
Executive Engineer PMGSY Janak Raj Thapa with administrative staff & senior BJP leader Nand Kishore, district president rural Omi Khajuria,  Subedar ( retd) Paras Ram, Milkhi Ram Sarpanch,Vijay,Ashwani,Susheel Mandal president Mathwar Neelkunth and others were present on the same occasion.
