Looting of banks
Sir,
Apropos the news item ‘Militants decamp with cash….(DE, May 4), jihadis have increased attacks on banks in which bank guards are killed and vans carrying cash are looted. They need money to run  jihad in Kashmir. Bank looting is nothing new in Kashmir. It started with the beginning of sedition in 1990. But we have a question. Why is it that the jihadis loot only the J&K Bank branches and not any other bank in the Valley? The answer is simple. J&K Bank is the largest and most prosperous bank of J&K with branches all over the country and abroad. It has a huge majority of employees from entire Valley. Isn’t it that bank employees are in close liaison with the jihadis and are shareholders in the looted booty. Why should not the National Security organization order a probe into these bank loots and come out with its report for action.  Many bank employees will have to be interrogated to come to the bottom of the matter.
Yours etc……
