Engineering students continue strike

JAMMU, Oct 19: Continuing their protest against Jammu University for the cancellation of the supplementary exams of engineering students, the students of various engineering colleges boycotted their classes and held a massive protest demonstrationat University of Jammu, here.
Students of engineering colleges of Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and MBS College of Engineering and Technology assembled at University of Jammu and raised slogans against Jammu University alleging that the concerned authorities hardly listen to their problems and leave them into the lurch.
The statement further said that no concrete decision has been taken by the authorities to concede their demands and added, though, both University and College authorities are trying their level best to suppress the voice of the students so that they call of their strike, but students have resolved that the protest will go on till their demands will be full filled.
The students also blocked the main gate of the University and warned the authorities that if their demands were not fulfilled, they will take the agitational route.
