J&K Bank conducts camps in Shopian, Achhabal

SRINAGAR, Oct 19: J&K Bank conducted a Financial Literacy camp at Zainapora, Shopian, in collaboration with District Animal Husbandry Department.
During the camp, people were sensitized about the Bank’s Dairy Entrepreneur Development Scheme (DEDS) and Poultry Venture Development Scheme (PVDS).
Dr Waheed and Dr Feroze from Animal Husbandry Department discussed the technical aspect of the schemes.
Incharge, FLCC, Shopian, Mahmood Ahmad Jan, discussed the financial assistance aspect for the schemes while as LDM, M Saleem Wani, gave an overview of all the schemes available with Bank for promoting the dairy and poultry ventures in the district.
Head, Branch Unit, Zainapora, GM Mir, presented vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, FLCC Centre, Anantnag conducted an awareness programme on “Formation of Self Help Groups and Role of bankers” at BDO Office, Achhabal, Anantnag, in which Village Level Workers, Panchayat members and members of self-help groups participated.
BDO, Achhabal, G Q Gojri, expressed gratitude to FLCC for conducting such awareness programme in his block.
FLCC facilitator, GR Kumar, informed about the formation of Self Help Groups and its credit linkage under various activities.
Head, Business Unit, Achhabal, Ghulam Jeelani Dar, assured the participants of complete support from the BU.
