Sir,
This has reference to the news item ‘Dealing with Rogue Pakistan’ DE May 4, 2017.
The manner in which Pakistan Army has killed our two brave soldiers deserves worldwide condemnation. It is sheer barbarity. To avenge the death of these soldiers, there is tremendous pressure on the Government to act fast in dealing with the rogue State-Pakistan.
This is not for the first time that Pakistan has conducted itself in such a fashion. Every time such an incident has happened there has been clamour for retribution. The Government in response always assures the nation that everything possible would be done to safeguard the nation. But after sometime whole issue gets buried in the country’s political whirlpool.
The way India is handling Pakistan right from partition underlines the fact that Indian Government does not have a consistent Pakistan policy. It changes with every political development or change in Government in India. The present situation that the country is confronted with, is a result, of a lack of coherent policy vis-a-vis Pakistan. Pakistan in its turn, takes advantage it can from situation.
The Government must in consultation with other opposition parties, and defense establishment frame a policy against Pakistan to counter it effectively. Adhocism won’t serve any purpose.
Yours etc….
