BJP holds protest at Kargil, demands 12 cylinders

KARGIL, Oct 19:  The BJP activists held a protest demonstration here today against the hike in prices of LPG after capping its supply and removing the subsidy.
The protesters were carrying banners which read ‘Ab to Spasht hai, Congress Sarkaar Bhrasht hai’. The BJP activists gathered in large numbers on the Kargil Bazaar carrying banners and flags demanding 12 LPG cylinders for a year.
The Protest was led by Regional Vice President BJP Ladakh, Mohammad Subhan Jaffary and district president, BJP Kargil Haji Ghulam Mohammad Khuddam.
The protest rally started from BJP office Poyen Bridge and passing through Lal Chowk, Islamia School Chowk and Changrah Bazaar concluded at Lal Chowk where the leaders addressed to the public.
Addressing the rally BJP leaders termed the present Coalition Government a failure and promised for a better Government in the future by BJP at National as well as State level.
Jaffery termed the UPA Government a Government for corruption and Gottala and expressed his dissatisfaction over the lifiting subsidy of LPG. The verification process for LPG connections in Kargil is a source for looting money from the poor people and Jaffary asked for monitoring/controlling authority over the LPG Agencies.
He also requested the present local administration to regularize the power supply in and around Kargil town.
