JAMMU, May 8: In separate cases, two persons were today found hanging at their respective residences in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a man namely Sumesh Kumar (32) son of Amar Nath, resident of Narwal Bala was found hanging with the hook of the ceiling fan at his residence this morning. He said though no suicide note was recovered from the spot but still it appeared to be a case of suicide.
“The body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where after conducting post mortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites”, the spokesman said, adding, police had taken cognizance of the matter.
In Talab Tillo area, a woman identified as Monika (31) wife of Rahul Singh, resident of Vikas Lane, was found hanging under mysterious circumstances at her residence this afternoon. The body of the deceased woman was shifted to mortuary room of GMCH for post mortem. Talab Tillo police had taken cognizance of the matter.
