JAMMU, May 9: Shri Raghunathji Mandir Sewa Samiti (SRMSS) has demanded formation of public board for all temples and shrines on the pattern of Shri Gurudwara Parbandh Board for betterment and safeguarding the interest of Hindu community in the State.
Addressing a press conference here today, members of the Samiti which was earlier known as Dharmath Trust Sudhar Sangarsh Samiti, said that they will shortly submit memorandums to Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh and all BJP MLAs with the request that Temple and Shrine Bill be passed in the ensuing State Assembly with representation of its member from Snatani Hindu.
Welcoming the statement of Chief Minister for developing historic Shri Raghunath Temple on the pattern of Golden Temple of Amritsar, the Samiti members said that it is only possible when a public board for all the temples is constituted.
The Samiti members threatened of agitation if Government fails to introduce Temple and Shrine Bill in the coming Assembly Session.
