Development works in Ajit Colony

Sir,
This has reference to the news headline ‘Sat starts developmental works…..’ (DE – May 8, 2017). State BJP president and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma  as per the statement in this esteemed paper has asked the people to be the eyes and ears of their representative in every nook and corner and to inform instantly so that work can be taken up in the area. Since a number of attempts have been made by  various deputations of the Residents’ Welfare Association of this most neglected colony, Ajit Colony Extn. Ward 32 to draw the attention of the MLA to their plight of not having a drainage system as none has been laid so far; we once again request  MLA though the column ‘Readers write’  to visit the locality with other concerned officials of UEED and JMC and recommend undertaking of drainage work as has been done in case of Sharika Vihar. The residents of this area are lucky to be benefitted by the AMRUT scheme and the MLA also needs to be felicitated for his efforts as an amount of 4 crore is likely to be spent there.  Trying to be eyes and ears of our representative we request MLA to undertake blacktopping of the road as many potholes have developed on the road and it needs repairs. A transformer has been inaugurated but the necessary lines have not been laid so that the people may be benefitted and the long-standing problem of low-voltage is solved.
Yours etc….
Prem Gupta
