Rich tributes paid to martyrs

KISHTWAR, May 10: On the occasion of martyrs’ day, hundreds of people paid rich tributes to the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives while fighting militancy.
On May 10, 1993, senior leader of Hindu Raksha Samiti Satish Kumar Bhandari was killed by terrorists and since then this day, rich tributes are being paid to those who sacrificed their lives for society and nation while fighting anti-nationalists. It was due to these sacrifices that nationalist forces got united and fought against the evil designs of anti-national forces.
The martyrs day was organized in the premises of Gouri Shanker temple under the chairmanship of Swami Ram Saran Das Shastri, where close associate of Satish Bhandari namely Vivek Kumar, RSS activist and Roshan Lal Sharma, Zila Sanghchalak Kishtwar were main speakers on the occasion.
While paying tributes, they stressed for fighting against anti national and anti-social activities unitedly.
The students of BVM Higher Secondary School, ABN High School, SDM Higher Secondary School, Daffodil High School, Little Angles School, JN Shastri Memorial School and BVM School Hiydyal presented cultural items including patriotic songs and skits.
Besides large number of citizens, representatives of different political, religious and social organizations and family members of martyrs were also present and offered floral tributes to martyrs.
