RAMBAN, May 10: Banihal police arrested a driver and his associate along with 15 kilograms poppy straw.
As per police sources, a team from Banihal police station laid a naka near Gund and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number PB10BS-0497.
During checking, police recovered 15 kilograms poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested the driver and his associate.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Kasim, son of Abdul Hamid Teeli and Amrik Singh, son of Jagjit Singh, both residents of Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 49/17 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
