Peas up on scattered local demand

NEW DELHI, Oct 20: In limited deals, peas prices rose by Rs 25 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on scattered demand from local parties.
However, other pulses traded in a restricted range on little doing and settled around previous levels.
Traders said scattered demand from local parties in view of festive season mainly  pushed up peas prices.
In the national capital, peas white and green rose by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,925-2,950 and Rs 3,025-3,125 per quintal, respectively.
The following are today’s pulses rates per quintal:
Urad 3,600-4,050, Urad Chilka (local) 4,400-4,700, best 4,900-5,400, Dhoya 5,300-5,400, Moong 4,750-5,500, Dal Moong Chilka local 5,300-5,700, Moong Dhoya local 5,850-5,950 and best quality 6,550-6,650.
Masoor small 3,550-3,750, bold 3,700-3,900, Dal Masoor local 4,200-4,300, best quality 4,300-4,400, Malka local 4,000-4,100, best 4,200-4,300, Moth 4,400-4,700, Arhar 4,150-4,350, Dal Arhar Dara 5,750-5,950.
Gram 4,750-6,000, Gram Dal (local) 5,900-6,000, best quality 6,100-6,200, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 2,170, Rajdhani 2,170, Rajmah Chitra 7,000-9,500, Kabli Gram small 5,000-8,500,
dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100; Lobia 4,000-4,400, Peas white 2,925-2,950 and green 3,025-3,125. (PTI)
