JAMMU, May 14: An elderly woman succumbed to her burn injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Satya Devi (75) wife of Romal Singh, a resident of Basholi (Kathua), was shifted here at GMCH on May 11 after she suffered burn injuries at her residence in a fire mishap.
However, the woman succumbed to her injuries late last night. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was today handed over to her legal heirs for last rites. The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
