Sir,
The sports sector is slowly and steadily making a mark at the State and National level. This can be ascertained from the performances of players from the State on the National level. Many young players – males and females have brought laurels to the State in various games. They have achieved these feats through dedication and perserverance. However, what needs to be underlined here is that sports infrastructure is to some extent available only in main urban centres of the State and is non-existant in rural or semi-urban areas. The Government has not paid much attention to create infrastructure in rural areas. There is so much talent available in these areas, but it has not been tapped, so far, nor is going to be tapped in the future as well, if Sports Departments does not bother to work in this direction
The Government must invest heavily in this sector to allow players exhibit their talent. Besides, it will keep unemployed youth away from anti-social activities and generate employment opportunities for them.
Yours etc….
