JAMMU, May 15: Army and police today recovered a consignment of arms and ammunition from a militant hideout at Nagseni in Kishtwar district.
Reports said a joint team of Army, police and Special Operations Group (SOG) Kishtwar conducted a joint search operation at Nagseni in Kishtwar district and destroyed a hideout of the militants at Horanmarg forest area. The hideout was detected and destroyed during two-day long search operation in the forests.
Recoveries made from the hideout included one AK 56 rifle, two AK magazines, 60 rounds, four UBGL grenades, four hand grenades, one wireless set, one Radio set antenna, three RPG rounds, one binocular, cooking utensils and two blankets.
“The search operation and recovery of arms, ammunition and explosives from the militant hideout have shown total domination of security forces in Kishtwar district,” sources said.
