KISHTWAR, May 15: The residents of Thakrie and adjoining areas today held a protest at Kurya Pasi on Kishtwar-Sinthan road.
The protesters raised slogans against the Government and also in favour of their demands.
They were demanding tehsil status to Thakrie, J&K Bank branch, construction of Kurya-Keshwan road, establishment of PHC at Thakrie and SRTC bus service.
The protesting people also demanded settlement of issues related to Aadhar Card and water supply.
Later, officers from Police Department and Civil Administration reached the spot and assured the protesters that their issued will be redressed on priority basis.
