RAJOURI, May 15: The police seized a Tata Mobile vehicle loaded with seven bovine animals, moving towards Kashmir via Mughal Road and arrested one smuggler in this connection on highway in Chingus area last night.
Official sources said that a police party led by SI Fareed Ahmed, under the supervision of Incharge SHO Rajouri, Sudhanshu Verma (IPS Prob) during naka on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway last night intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK02AP/1957 and found seven bovine animals being transported to Kashmir without any valid documents from the District Magistrate.
The police seized the vehicle along with cattle and arrested bovine smuggler. He has been identified as Nadeem Khan, son of Mohd Azam, resident of Thannamandi in district Rajouri. A case FIR No. 196/ 2017 under section 188 RPC 3 PC Act has been registered against the accused persons at Rajouri Police Station.
