JAMMU, May 16: DIT University has organized a program National Technology Day in collaboration with UCOST.
In this program, many school students, academicians and industry experts participated. Quiz exam was conducted for school students to find out their skill and talent in different areas of science, computer and general awareness. The school students were awarded with prizes. DIT University students displayed their live projects in an exhibition using the latest technology.
Avinash Chandra, Executive Director, Head of the Institute, Academy ONGC Dehradun was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking emphasized that students should enhance their skill by knowing the practical applications of science and engineering. Today skilled hand is the demand of time for the development of the nation and to enhance the employability, he added.
Prof S Swaminathan, Pro Vice Chancellor, DIT University told that working on good projects will give the hand on practice for better utilization of technology and a road map for the research and developments in various interdisciplinary areas of engineering.
Arun Kumar Singhal, Chief Editor, DEW Journal who was guest of honour on the occasion shared his thoughts about creativity and innovations. There is a need to implement the ideas by keeping update about the new developments in technology, he added.
Prof YK Tyagi, Organizer, National Technology Day addressed the gathering and told about the objective of the celebration of this day and focused on modifying the basic education that should impart practical knowledge by making small projects to make them skilled.
