DODA, May 20:  The Forest Department employees today held protest demonstration in support of their demands at Bhaderwah today.
The protest was organised outside at the office of DFO, Bhaderwah under the banner of Non- Gazetted Forest Officers Association (NGFOA) led by Coordinator Chenab Circle, Abdul Hafiz Dar.
The Forest guards and other Non- gazetted employees alleged discrimination and step motherly treatment against them by the successive Governments and higher authorities of Forest Department in implementing Government SROs and orders.
The protesting employees demanded reorganization of the department, removal of pay anomalies, timely promotions, regularisation of daily wagers and above all constitution of DPC at the earliest, failing which they will be left with no option but to intensify their struggle and hit the streets in support of their demands.
While demanding constitution of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of all the Non- gazetted employees at the earliest, Coordinator NGFOA Chenab Circle, Abdul Hafiz Dar said,  “Non Gazetted Forest Officers from Range Officer Grade 2nd to cleaner and watchers including Guards, Foresters and Mallis are being subjected to humiliation as despite numerous pleas and running from pillar to post since last two decades, none of our demands  have been met with and Government is playing with the emotions of poor employees for unknown reasons.”
Later, protesting employees submitted a memorandum of demands to DFO Bhaderwah.
