NEW DELHI: On the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi today launched a signature campaign in favour of the Women’s Reservation Bill which ensures 33 per cent reservation for women in state assemblies and Parliament.

Party vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were also present on the occasion. The campaign was also launched by the All India Mahila Congress here and all Mahila Congress units across the country which will continue till August 10.

On August 20, the birth anniversary of the late PM, the signatures collected from all District Mahila Congress units, in support of the passage of the Bill, will be handed over to the President. (AGENCIES)
