SAMBA, May 21: Vijaypur police arrested seven persons along with Rs 2630 stake money and playing cards from Rahya Phalla area, a police official said.
The arrested persons have been identified as Randhir Singh, son of Rashpal Singh of Badori, Rajeshwar Singh, son of Krishan Singh of Suchani, Kaka Hussain, son of Mohammad Yousuf of Rahya Phalla, Balbir Singh, son of Bachan Singh of Meen Chakran, Sunny, son of Madan lal of Badori, Ravinder Kumar, son of Yashpal of Badori and Younis, son of Saif Ali of Badori.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against them at Vijaypur police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Vijaypur Inspector Suraj Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Abhisheik Sharma and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
