JAMMU, May 22: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to release two pending installments of DA due from July last year and January this year in favour of the employees of the State Government and pensioners in the first cabinet meeting in summer capital of the State after Darbar move.
Interacting with media persons here today, NMC president, Subhash Shastri, in view of the inbuilt provisions in the annual budget, there should not be any hitch for the State Government as it is a routine matter, more so when others states have already release these DA installments to their employees and pensioners since long.
Shastri said since the State Government has decided to implement the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission from April 1, 2018 and there is a little chance for payment of interim relief in favour of State Government employees and pensioners, Government should immediately release DA installments to them, as a relief measure, so that confusion and uncertainty among them could come to end.
