AKHNOOR, Oct 21: A young house-wife committed suicide by hanging at Gurha Brahmana in tehsil Akhnoor today.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Kiran Balla, wife of Mohan Lal, resident of Gurha Brahmana. The police said she was issueless and residing separately for the last two years. Some family feud is said to be the reason behind this extreme step. Her husband is in Army. The police shifted the body for postmortem and registered case in this connection.
The spokesman further said that 19-year-old Anjana, daughter of Thoru Ram, resident of Sungal consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances. She was rushed to local hospital and her condition was said to be serious. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
