JAMMU, May 26: Shamsher Singh Manhas, Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha) today donated a vehicle to the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust under Member Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) Scheme.
The vehicle was donated during a function here today by the MP to members of the Trust headed by its president Pawan Kumar Shastri. Shastri Ji said that the vehicle will be used for a noble cause especially for the poor and needy people who can’t afford a vehicle for taking the dead bodies to cremation ground.
He said the Trust will also welcome the donations made by the philanthropists’ for this noble cause.

The management, staff and other trustees expressed their gratitude to the MP for this noble work. The vehicle has been named as Antim Yatra Service. PL Pandotra, vice president of the Trust, its general secretary Gurdas Sharma, treasurer Ram Langer, Trustee Jatin Aggarwal, Working Committee and other staff members were present during the function.
Pawan Shastri said that the Trust was already providing the vehicle services to the needy and poor people for taking the dead bodies to the cremation ground for last rites but with the donation of the vehicle by Manhas this problem will be eased to a great extent.
Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust takes the responsibilities to run this pious service for humanity.
