JAMMU, May 26: The dead body of an unknown youth of age about 18 to 20 years was recovered today from a canal in Gadigarh area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, some locals this evening spotted a male dead body flowing in a canal near Dadap Gurudwara and informed the police. He said that on their information, a police team from police post Gadigarh reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem.
“In this connection, the inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC has been initiated at concerned police station”, he added.
