JAMMU, May 27: Dr Parshant Bakshi, Head, Advanced Centre for Horticulture Research (ACHR), Udheywalla of SKUAST-Jammu, has been awarded with Bharat Excellence Award, Certificate of Excellence and Gold Medal for the year 2017, by the Friendship Forum.
Ch Randhir Singh, former Governor of Sikkim, presented him the award in the Conference on Economic Growth and National Unity, held recently at New Delhi.
Dr Bakshi has been awarded for his outstanding contributions and extra ordinary achievements in his chosen fields of activity and services rendered in the field of Fruit Science. He already has 07 books, 34 articles and 72 research papers to his credit in NAAS rated Journals. He has also been awarded with Fellowship award by Society of Hi-Tech Horticulture, Merrut and Best Citizen Award.
