JAMMU, May 29: A deputation of technical committee of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) headed by Er RN Kaw, general secretary (tech) today met with Director, ERA, Er Ravinder Gupta and expressed their concerns in connection with laying of fresh water supply pipes in Trikuta Nagar.
The ERA Director explained the role of ERA in laying of fresh water supply pipes in Trikuta Nagar to the deputation. To a question of the deputation about the necessity of laying the new lines when already laid pipes by the ERA itself in the year 2008 have not yet been commissioned, the ERA Director said that it pertains to PHE department and they have no say in the matter. He further explained that ERA is only an executing agency.
When asked about the completion of work and restoration of roads and private entrance ramps, he assured that by middle of June everything will be completed.
Other members of the delegation included AK Arora, KK Mahajan and Ashok Gupta.
