45,000 pilgrims visit Pingla Mata shrine

RAMNAGAR, Oct 22: During the Navratra days, over 45,000 pilgrims from different parts of the State paid obeisance at the sacred shrine of Pingla Mata to seek the blessings of Goddess Bhagwati, situated on a hill top at village Pinger in tehsil Ramnagar of district Udhampur.
The tehsil administration under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Udampur, P.K Pole has made adequate arrangements of security, transportation, sanitation, drinking water and power supply at shrine site and enroute 5 KM track journey from Kough to Darbar for the convenience of yatris.
It may be recalled that on Sunday (6th Navratra), the Akhand Joyti Committee, Ramnagar took sacred Akhand Joyti from Ramnagar to shrine site in the morning.
According to president Akhand Joyti Committee, Ramnagar, Vinay Jandial, the Akhand Jyoti was accompanied by over 15,000 devotees.
According to Teshsildar, the yatra is expected to cross a figure of 50,000 pilgrims by tomorrow on Ram Navmi.
