PEEU delegation calls on CE

JAMMU, May 30:Provincial Electric Employees Union (PEEU) in its meeting here today discussed various demands of the employees and expressed their resentment over the delaying tactics adopted in implementation of SRO 59 in letter and spirit by various offices and divisions of PDD in Jammu region while the same has been fully implemented in Kashmir valley.
The meeting was chaired by president of the Union PC Sharma, who termed the non implementation of SRO 59 in some offices of PDD in Jammu a great discrimination with the employees of this region.
The meeting also demanded retrospective effect to already regularized daily wagers, conducting of DPC at all levels, vacation of stay for conducting of DPC from Technician 3rd to technician second.
The meeting warned to launch agitation against the authorities of PDD in case the demands were not settled immediately.
Later a delegation led by Sharma called on Chief Engineer, EM&RE Wing Jammu and discussed the problems with him. Besides, implementation of SRO 59, the delegation discussed the issue of insitu promotions and demanded settlement of all issues at divisional level.
Sharma later appealed the employees to display unity for their genuine cause. Others present in the meeting included Bishan Singh, district president Jammu, Ajit Singh, Ashwani, Janak Raj, Ravinder Goswami, Raman, Rajesh Singh Charak, Brij Lal, Kuldeep Kumar, Ravinder Bakshi and Anil Kumar.
