Absconder held in Rhembal

JAMMU, Oct 22: Police today arrested an absconder, who was notorious for the smuggling of bovine animals more than an year after he was booked in a case of bovine smuggling in Rhembal area of Udhampur district.
He has been identified as Zahoor Ahmad, son of Abdul Rashid Zargar R/o Achabal, Anantnag.
Police said Zahoor was absconding after registration of a case against him under Section 379 in FIR No. 182/2011 at Rhembal police station last year. He was involved in smuggling of bovine animals from Jammu to Srinagar.
Police parties from Rhembal police station headed by SHO Inspector Mohammad Sadiq alias Bhola under the supervision of SSP Udhampur Ashkoor Wani made the arrest.
