JKGB organizes APY campaign across state

JAMMU, May 31: Financial Inclusion Department, J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) in collaboration with NABARD organized Atal Pension Yojana (APY) campaign across the State.
The stress was also given on other social security schemes including PMSSBY and PMJBY. These programmes were intended to cover the unorganized sector including factory workers, hawkers and rural agricultural labour, etc.
J&K Grameen Bank has covered most of the districts of the State including Jammu, Kathua, Samba,  Kishtwar, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Srinagar, Rajouri and Poonch. At present, more than 1000 APY enrolments in a span of a month have been done under this initiative.
Apart from APY enrolment, people were also enrolled under GoI insurance schemes like PMJJBY and PMSBY. In order to enable 100 % renewal of existing enrolments under the PMSBY and PMJJBY, the SMS were sent to the customers on regular basis for maintaining a minimum balance of Rs 330 and Rs 12 only.
The masses were also made aware about technological innovations in banking industry including NEFT/RTGS, online banking, IMPS, SMS banking, Rupay Card, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System, Direct Benefit Transfer, etc to promote the digital banking and move towards the less-cash economy.
