CB produces challan against man for fraudulently selling State land

SRINAGAR, June 1: Crime Branch today produced challan against a man for fraudulently selling State land to a couple, here.
As per official spokesman, a complaint was lodged by Mushtaq Ahmed Khuroo, son of Abdul Khaliq of Shah Colony Parimpora, Srinagar and his wife Sameera Mushtaq wherein it was alleged that Faiz Ahmed Wani, son of Mohammed Ahsan Wani of Raj-Bagh, Srinagar has fraudulently and dishonestly executed an agreement to sell two kanals of land falling under khasra number 57 situated at Estates Parimpora in favour of the complainant against a consideration amount of Rs 31 lakh.
Subsequently, a case under FIR Number 26/14 under Sections 420, 468 and 471 RPC was registered in Police Crime Branch Kashmir and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, it was prime facie established that the land falling under khasra number 57 is state land and is recorded in the revenue records as Kahcharai.
The accused Faiz Ahmad Wani deceived the complainant and his wife by selling State land to them and have grabbed their hard earned money.
On the strength of evidence oral as well as documentary coupled with the opinion of forensic expert, the case was concluded as challan and charge sheet were filed in the court of law for judicial determination.
