CTF takes up traders’ issues with Bhandari

JAMMU, June 1: Chamber of  Traders Federation (CTF) members  projected the burning issues of the trading community before the new Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Mandeep Bhandari here today.
During an  informal chat  with the Divisional Commissioner,  president of the CTF Neeraj Anand,  recalled Dr Bhandari’s supportive role during his long association and a very cordial relationship developed throughout his various governmental assignments from DC Jammu to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
Members present on the occasion brought to his attention various difficulties being faced by the trading community. To relieve them of the uncertainties Mr Anand urged upon the Divisional Commissioner to introduce provision of mixed land use as a permanent solution to the big problem of unintentional violations committed by some traders in the past.
“And for future expansion of trading activities more especially with less Govt jobs, there is an urgent need to earmark more spaces for upcoming markets and warehouses spread all over the city from Vijaypur to Nagrota,” Anand said
CTF president further added that Jammu is going to become a Smart City as already declared by the Centre, then administration shall have to take up an integrated development policy for trade promotion with the help of the private sector and in consultation with the trade organizations like Chamber of Traders Federation.
Dr Mandeep Bhandari assured to give his full support to various demands raised on the occasion.
Prominent among  those present in the meeting included –                      Attar Singh,  Chander Gulati,  Vinod Sachdeva,  Yash Paul Gupta, Dinesh Gupta, Kailash Nagar, Balvinder Singh, Vinay Gupta,  Tushar Mahajan and   Raghubir Gupta.
