Govt fails to ensure essential supplies: ANC

JAMMU, June 1: Lambasting State Government for its failure to solve day-today problems of the common masses, Provincial president of Awami National Conference (ANC) for Jammu, Gian Singh today said that miseries of the people have increased manifold and Coalition Govt has miserably failed to provide any relief to common masses.
Addressing meeting of party workers at Provincial office, Jammu Singh expressed his concerned over unprecedented water and power crises that has gripped the State, especially Jammu region during scorching heat. He said that entire Jammu region has been facing scarcity of drinking water but the State Government is adopting casual approach towards this unending problem.
Pointing towards power crises in the State in general and Jammu region in particular, Singh said that when temperature is hovering over 45 to 47 degree Celsius, unscheduled power cuts have become a routine affair which adding miseries to the people. Singh said that State has been plunged into unprecedented crises due to wrong policies of Govt. He said that during the last more than two years this regime has done nothing to solve problems of the people.
He took the Coalition Government to task for its failure to provide even ration to the people in the urban what to say of rural and remote belts. Singh said that this ‘coalition’ was formed without any programme and policy and instead of solving basic problems of the common masses, leaders of both the parties have been befooling the people by making false promises. Water shortage, high pressure on our natural resources, and the looming consequences of climate Change needs to adapt a paradigm shift.
