MENDHAR, Oct 22: Police today arrested a bootlegger along with 24 bottles of liquor in Mandi area of the district Poonch.
As per reports, police party from Mandi Police Station laid a naka between Mandi and Swanga and intercepted a vehicle.
During checking, police recovered 24 bottles of rum and arrested the bootlegger Jehangir Ahmed, son of Abdul Hamid of Chamber Swajjian.
A case FIR number 80/12 under Excise Act has been registered at Mandi Police Station and investigation started.
The arrest was made by police party from Mandi Police Station led by SHO Mandi, under the supervision of SP Poonch, Shamsheer Hussain.
