Srinagar, June 4: Police today said it along with Excise and Revenue Departments launched a drive against contraband cultivation and destroyed the poppy spread on 30 Kanals of land in Wullarhama area of Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police spokesman said a drive was conducted against the contraband cultivation of poppy. “During the drive, poppy spread on 30 kanals of land was destroyed at village Wallerhama. The drive will continue for destruction of poppy crop in the district,” he added.
