RS PURA, June 4: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Choudhary today conducted an extensive tour of Suchetgarh and took stock of developmental activities in the area.
The Minister also inaugurated newly constructed and upgraded lanes and drains at Chandu Chak, Badyal Brah and Ghowana completed at a cost of Rs. 19 lakh and a culvert constructed under 13th FC at a cost of Rs. 4 lakh during the visit.
While speaking on the occasion, Sham Chaudhary said that it is the priority of Government to meet the aspiration of the people of the State and various efforts have been initiated in this regard. He said works pertaining to improvement of power and water supply, construction of lanes and drains and other civic works are high on Government’s agenda.
Earlier, the Minister conducted a public grievances redressal camp at R. S. Pura wherein inhabitants of village Floora, Chandu Chak, Ghowana, Khipur, Bhojpur and other adjoining villages apprised the Minister with their demands related to installation of electric poles, upgradation of Sub Station, replacement of old wires, extension of wires, construction of culverts and cremation shed, black topping of various link roads and installation of hand pumps etc.
Responding to the demands, the Minister assured the people that their genuine demands would be redressed soon. He also asked the concerned officers to ensure effective implementation of welfare programs, adding that participation of the people is imperative to identify development needs and to set priorities in an integrated manner.
