JAMMU, June 4: JIGER Institute Gangyal Jammu under the banner of Humanity Welfare Organization Helpline today organized a wheel chair distribution camp.
Nineteen wheelchairs were distributed among the needy disable persons belonging to poor families living in far flung areas of Udhampur, Akhnoor and Jammu. Five wheelchairs were given to spina cord injured persons belonging to economically poor families from Kashmir. These persons with disabilities have been facing locomotor disabilities and were confined to four walls.
The survey for the beneficiaries mostly children with severe disabilities was done by the teams of Childline Jammu and Udhampur under the leadership of Ms Pinky Jain coordinator Jammu and Zubair Ahmad.
The wheel chairs given away were arranged from public donations. The distribution was made after huge demand came to JIGER institute from the parents and direct persons with disabilities.
