Electronic goods worth lakhs gutted, shopkeeper injured

REASI, June 4: Goods worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in a mysterious fire at an electronic shop, M/s Abrol Electronics, near Post Office, main bazar Reasi, here last night.
The incident took place around 11 pm and according to the eyewitnesses, sound of a blast was also heard after shutter of the shop was opened.  The blazes were doused in about an hour.
In the incident, electronic items including mobile sets, radio sets and TV sets etc were gutted. Owner of the shop Sunil Abrol (Raju), son of Sansar Chand of Reasi was also injured in an attempt while trying to douse the blazes and he was rushed to District Hospital Reasi.
Even as apparent cause of the fire seems to be electrical short circuit, the owner has lodged complaint with Police that his brothers set the shop on fire. Acting on the complaint, Police has registered a case of arson while a team of Forensic experts from Udhampur visited the spot and collected samples for further investigation in this regard.
