JAMMU, June 8: In view of appointment of three new Judges, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir has restructured different committees.
According to the order issued by Registrar General Sanjay Dhar, Chief Justice is the Chairman of the Administrative Committee with Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir as its Members.
The Administrative Committee will deal with service conditions and disciplinary matters of Judicial Officers, their seniority, awarding of Super Time Scale and Selection Grade Scale of Pay and awarding of ACP Scales of Pay etc.
Similarly, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar is the Chairman of Finance Committee with Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir as its Member. This Committee will monitor utilization of funds sanctioned under the 14th Finance Commission in terms of resolution passed in Chief Justices’ Conference 2016.
Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar is also the Chairman of Building and Infrastructure Committee with Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Tashi Rabstan as its Members.
This Committee will deal with all the matters pertaining to infrastructure in the High Court, Subordinate Courts and monitor infrastructure in subordinate courts in terms of resolution passed in Chief Justices’ Conference 2016. In addition, Chief Secretary of the State and the Secretaries of Finance, Public Works and Law Departments will be co-opted as members of this Committee.
Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur is the Chairman of the Committee for allotment of chambers to Advocates and Disciplinary Committee under Advocates Act for Jammu Wing. Justice Janak Raj Kotwal and Justice Sanjeev Kumar are its Members.
Similarly, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir is the Chairman of this Committee for Srinagar Wing with Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice M K Hanjura as its Members.
Justice Mohamamd Yaqoob Mir is the Chairman of the Committee for High Court staff with Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice M K Hanjura as its Members. This Committee will deal issues relating to recruitment and promotion of all cadres of the High Court staff including seniority matters etc.
Justice Alok Aradhe is the Chairman of State Court Management Systems Committee with Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Sanjeev Kumar as its Members.
This Committee will provide inputs and suggestions to National Court Management Systems Committee for formulation and effective implementation of National Management Plan/Policy etc.
Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir is the Chairman of the Committee to monitor effective implementation of various decisions/resolutions passed in the Chief Justices’ Conference. Justice B S Walia and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta are its Members.
As far as Committee for direct recruitment of District Judges is concerned, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir is its Chairman and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur Members.
Justice Alok Aradhe is the Chairman of the Committee to look after the affairs of J&K State Judicial Academy with Justice Janak Raj Kotwal and Justice M K Hanjura as its Members. Justice Alok Aradhe is also the Chairman of the Computer and e-Courts Committee with Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey as its Member.
Justice Alok Aradhe is also the Chairman of Sexual Harassment Probe Committee for Jammu Wing with Justice Tashi Rabstan and District Judge Bala Jyoti its Members while as for Srinagar Wing Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey is the Chairman of this Committee with Justice B S Walia and District Judge Jeema Bashir as its Members.
Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey is the Chairman of High Court Legal Services Committee with Senior Advocates K S Johal, D C Raina, Z A Shah, Advocate Arifa Jan and Social Worker Nusrat Andrabi as its Members. Ajay Gupta, Sub-Judge is the Member Secretary of the Committee.
Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey is also the Chairman of Committee under Juvenile Justice Act with Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta as its Members. Justice Magrey is the Chairman and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal and Justice Sanjeev Kumar are the Members of the Rules Committee while as Justice Tashi Rabstan is the Chairman and Justice B S Walia Member of Mediation and Conciliation Committee.
Justice B S Walia is the Chairman of Right to Information Committee with Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta as its Member. Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir is the Chairman of the Committee to oversee progress of cases arising under J&K Pre-Conception and Pre-natal Sex Selection/ Determination (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 2002. Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey is the Member of this Committee.
