SAMBA, June 8: Heavy damage has been caused to 400 kv new Jallandar -Amargarh (Sopore) transmission line due to wind storm this evening in Swankha area of Samba district.
According to reports five towers of the transmission line being constructed by Sterelite were uprooted.
Official sources said that due to the collapse of towers, the 11 kv network was also affected as 15 number of HT poles have been broken while some transformers have also been damaged in the Swankha area of Samba district.
