SRINAGAR, June 8: An alert guard today foiled an attempt by some unidentified people to loot a Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch in Pulwama in South Kashmir.
A group of unidentified people entered the bank branch at Wanpora in Pulwama district. But, before they could attempt the robbery, the security guard of the bank opened fire, after which they escaped.

Senior police and security force officials have reached the spot and launched a hunt to nab the miscreants.
