Contractual Lecturers continue protest for regularization

JAMMU, June 9: On 116th consecutive day of their ongoing hunger strike, the Contractual Lecturers (10+2) took out a protest rally near Press Club Jammu and held a strong demonstration.
They raised slogans against the Government and in support of their demand of regularization. They vowed to continue the ongoing struggle till logical conclusion and threatened to further intensify the agitation if their demand is not conceded by the Government.
These Contractual Lecturers are demanding their regularization as per the Civil Services Special Provision Act 2010, a policy framed for the regularization of all the Ad-hoc/ Contractual/Consolidated employees after rendering seven years of services.
The protest demonstration was also addressed by some leaders of the Contractual Lecturers Association.
Earlier, this morning, Seema Rajput, Anjana Bajaj, Arun Bakhshi and Pankaj Sharma began their chain hunger strike for the next 24 hours.
