Prakash Utsav of Mata Roop Bhawani celebrated with religious fervor, gaiety

JAMMU, June 9: The Prakash Utsav  (birth anniversary) of Alakheshwari Mata Roop Bhawani was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety today. In this connection the religious functions were organized in the temples of Mata at Tirath Nagar, Talab Tillo near here and Roop Bhawani temple Sharda Colony, Patoli Brahmna.
A large number of devotes from Jammu and other parts of the country  attended the Havan, Samuhik Arti  held at the Tirath Nagar temple on this auspicious occasion. The function was organized under the aegis of Shri Alakh Sahiba Trust.
A special feature of the occasion was awarding of “Alakh Samman” to the prominent personalities who have selflessly worked for propagation of the teaching of Shri Alakh Sahiba Roop Bhawani . The Alakh Samman has been constituted by the Alakh Sahiba Trust in connection with celebration of 400th Prakash Utsav of Shri Mata Roop Bhawani which falls in year 2021.
The recipients of this year’ Alakh Samman were Late Pandit Sarvanad Koul Premi, whose son Rajinder Premi received the award from Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram .  T.N.Ganjoo ,a prominent scholar of the State  has been awarded Alakh Samman for his meritorious services of compiling the poetry of Mata Roop Bhawani as” Rahasya Updesh”, and the award on his behalf was received from  Vijay  Bakaya ,by his granddaughter Vardha Ganjoo.  Prathvi Nath Koul Sayil was awarded the Samman for his selfless services in formulation of the Hindi version and Devnagri script of the spiritual poetry of Mata Roop Bhawani, and  was presented  with the award by  K.K.Khosa , president KP Sabha .The program was compared by Vijay Wali and amongst the prominent personalities who attended the religious function was Swami Nirantaranad of Swami Rama Krishna Ashram and  Dr. Sushil Wattal from Bagwan Gopi Nath Ashram. Prof. P.N.Trisal a scholar of repute delivered a discourse on the life and teachings of Mata Roop Bhawani. Prem Nath Shad, Rajinder Premi and Bimla Aima Misri recited devotional poems dedicated to Mata Roop Bhawani. The Roop Bhawani temple was abuzz with devotes who in large numbers visited the temple to pay their obeisance to Alakh Sahiba Roop Bhawani.
A prominent senior artist Iqbal Koul recited the Bhajans of Mata Roo Bhawani . Later  the devotes took part in the Samuhik Path and Arti , after which the devotees were served with Prasad.
A large number of devotees also thronged the Roop Bhawani temple at Sharda Colony Patoli Brhmana to pay obeisance to Mata. The devotees participated in day long bhajan Kirtan and Samohik Aarti. The temple is a replica of Mata’s temple of Lar Ganderbal and relics of Mata are also preserved there. The devotees were served with Prashad later. The function was organized under the supervision of Avtar Krishan sole trustee of the Temple.
