JAMMU, June 10: Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat while justifying NIA raids on separatists in the J&K, said it was overdue to contain Pakistan and its agents who are hell bent to destabilize situation in border State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to reporters here today at the sidelights of a rally organised in connection with completion of three years of Narendra Modi Government at Centre, Rawat said that people in Kashmir want peace and they are not with the separatists and terrorists but some vested elements are trying to exploit the situation.
Hitting out at Congress, he accused it of playing politics in Madhya Pradesh where farmers agitation turned violent and said that Chief Minister of that State, Shiv Raj Singh Chauhan has called the farmers to talks and now the ball is in their court.
Rawat said as after the Babri Masjid demolition the conspiracy was hatched against the BJP by pumping the international dollars into the country at that time and same type of conspiracy has been hatched to destabilize the MP Government at present. But the forces behind it will be unmasked soon, he added.
While justifying the GST Bill, he said with its enforcement the GDP will go up in the country.
Later while addressing the rally Rawat did not spare the Congress and previous UPA Government at Centre. He said that PM Modi led NDA has enjoyed the affection and support of countrymen right from the beginning to the completion of three years of good governance. He said that earlier the nation witnessed the ill governance of Congress led UPA Government for decades together, which was marred by the 366 scams in 365 days of a year. In the very first meeting after the Government formation at the Centre, PM Modi gave clear instructions for transparent and corruption free administration at all levels, he added.
BJP State president & MLA Sat Sharma, Speaker J&K Assembly Kavinder Gupta, MP Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLC Ashok Khajuria, Chief Whip & MLA Rajesh Gupta and MLAs Dr. Krishan Bhagat and Sukhnandan Chowdhary were among others who addressed the rally.
