Welfare measures for labour class discussed at IOCL’s BP

SAMBA, June 10: A meeting was organized at LPG Bottling Plant of Indian Oil Corporation Limited here in Bari Brahmana area to commemorate the accomplishment of last 3 years of the organization of Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment.
The meeting was chaired by Sanjay Dabi, RLC (C), Jammu who highlighted various achievements of the department and gave details of new initiatives on various labour laws and policies.
The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Jaspal Singh, LEO, Jammu, Laxman Ravinder Singh, National working committee member, BMS, Harbans Chaudhary, State vice president (J&K), representative from HPC Jammu, members of Petroleum Workers Union of local unit along with contract labours of IOCL, Jammu Plant.
Earlier, presenting welcome address, Samresh Kumar, Senior Plant Manager of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bari Brahmana, briefed the dignitaries about various facilities/benefits being given to the contract labour at IOCL Jammu BP.
Laxman Ravinder Singh spoke about the benefits and welfare measures available for contract labours and emphasized on healthy industrial relations. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Joginder Paul, Secretary, PWU, Jammu BP.
