JAMMU, June 11: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS), Jammu today organized its fortnightly literary meet at Tagore Academy, Rani Talab, Digiana.
Harjit Singh Uppal, Punjabi writer presided over the meet.
Dr Monojit, Officiating president, PLS presented the welcome address. Sessions of articles reading and kavi darbar were conducted during the meeting.
Two articles on the problems of farmers were read out by Pritam Singh Anjaan. An article was read out by Dr Monojit on the book ‘Chonve Moti’ published during thirties of the last century, depicting life and history of the generations of the people of border who have contributed to the society in various capacities. Two songs by Piara Singh Dhanjal, one by Pritam Singh Anjaan and two lyrics by Resham Kaur Resham were also presented during the meeting. Amar Singh Kuka also presented a ghazal in the meet. Discussions on the items presented were held during the meet.
Harjit Singh Uppal also expressed his views on the items presented during the meet.
In the end, vote of thanks was extended by Hardeep Singh Deep.
