JAMMU, June 12: A man has been nabbed for selling illicit liquor from Nikowal area, falling under the jurisdiction of Arnia police station.
As per police sources, after developing specific information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura and assisted by SHO Arnia Inspector Satish Kumar under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal conducted raid in village Nikowal and apprehended one person namely Bahader Singh, son of Sain Dass of Nikowal for selling illicit liquor.
About 15 litres of refined illicit liquor, raw material and distillery material recovered from spot. Around 100 litres of lahan was also recovered and destroyed on spot.
A case under FIR Number 49/17 has been registered against the accused at police station Arnia and investigation started.
