CM, Suresh Prabhu to launch Rail development works, flag off new trains

VIJAYAWADA:  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union Railway Minister Suresh P Prabhu will launch various rail infra developmental works and flag off new trains at a programme to be held here tomorrow.

Railway sources here today said that the Chief Minister and Railway Minister would flag off of Train No.20890 Vijayawada Howrah Humsafar Weekly Express, dedicate the three-Phase Electric Locomotive Simulator at Electric Traction Training Centre here to the Nation.

They would flag off of Train No.22705 Tirupati?Jammu Tawi Humsafar Weekly Express (via Remote Video Link) and would also commission 2.5 Ton Capacity Mechanized Laundry at Tirupati (via Remote Video Link).

Mr Naidu and Prabhu would dedicate the doubling and electrification of Guntakal-Wadi Section to the Nation (via Remote Video Link). They would lay foundation stone for the doubling of Gooty Dharmavaram Section (via Remote Video Link), also for Augmentation of Diesel Loco Shed, Visakhapatnam (via Remote Video Link), Wagon POH Workshop at Vadlapudi near Visakhapatnam (via Remote Video Link).

They would also commission the  Kadapa?Pendlimarri New Railway Line as part of Kadapa?Bengaluru Project (via Remote Video Link). Flagging off Kadapa?Pendlimarri DEMU (via Remote Video Link).

Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Y S Chowdary, a host of state ministers and railway officials would attend the programme. (agencies)
