LPEF holds conference, highlights demands

BHADERWAH, Oct 24: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) held a one-day conference, in which employees from various Government Departments participated.
While speaking, Abdul Majid Khan, State president, criticized anti people and anti working class policies of the Central and State Governments, due to which prices of all essential commodities are touching the sky.
He called upon the employees to remain united and continue their struggle for early redressal to their demands.
The speakers demanded that 6th CPC arrears be paid in two installments in cash on central pattern. Revision of minimum daily wage, release of 7 per cent DA, enhancement of remuneration and honorarium of village guards, etc were the other demands voiced by the speakers.
During the conference, Omkar Bhagat was elected as president, LPEF, Bhaderwah, while, Irshad Ahmed as senior vice president, Mushtaq Magoo as secretary, Abdul Hafeez Wani as chief patron and Bhagat Singh Manhas as patron.
Among others present were Isher Dass Sangra, Babu Ram, Noor Hussain Malik, Shabir Ahmed Mir, etc.
